Overview:

As the Allies pushed through the French interior in the late summer of 1944, many German coastal defenses were in danger of being cut off and encircled. Instead of evacuating these positions, Hitler declared them Festungen and ordered their defenders to fight to the last man. Dunkerque, the strongest of these fortresses, was put under seige by the Canadian and British armies of the 21st Group until handed off to the 1st Czechoslovak Independent Armoured Brigade, under the command of Major General Alois Liška, in October. The Czechs then began a series of raids in the hopes of shortening the German perimeter. One of the biggest would come on 28 October, Czechoslovakia's Independence Day.

2025-12-09(A) Craig Houliston vs Doug Rimmer Czechoslovakian winCzechs (British) struggled to create any results thru the first four turns. A key CC finally went their way, and set up a very exciting finish down to the last CC. A fun, low-SSR village fight that we both thought was quite fun.
