Overview:

The last redoubt against the advancing Red Army was the Warsaw Bridgehead-defeat would mean the death of the nascent Polish state. On 13 August, the Bolsheviks quickly exploited a weak point in the Polish defenses, capturing Radzymin and advancing beyond the town. The Poles launched multiple counter-attacks with any available forces, intent on stopping the Bolshevik incursion and close the breach of the Bridgehead. On the 15th, a hastily mustered combined force of infantry and FT-17C tanks attacked the Bolshevik left flank in another bid to retake Radzymin.
