Overview:

The German assault into the city initially succeeded in pressing back some posts of the 2nd Royal Ulster Rifles to the railyards. A counterattack by the 1st King’s Own Scottish Borderers managed to drive the Germans back from the railyards, re-establishing the British lines and forcing the Germans to halt their assault in order to bring up fresh troops.

2021-06-28(D) O Ramaille vs Macari Samuel German winThe Germans decided to defend the left and center area while letting the right area with wooden buildings quite undefended. The Infantry Guns were setup hidden in the rear covering the two main access streets. The British attacked in the center with lots of WP and smoke which enable them to progress through the wooden buildings unmolested. In the center resistance was stiff and the British was cautious. They finally progressed in the center but a sudden German counterattack pushed them back from a victory building. A few Carriers tried to freeze the main schwerpunkt with two HMGs but were finally destroyed. German armored cars entered in reinforcements attacking fearlessly the British infantry in the center. Despite suffering some losses, the armored cars disorganized the British attack buying precious time for the Germans. Turn 6, the British have already suffered too much casualties (28 CVP) for only 3 stone buildings controlled. A final victory for the Germans with 28 CVP inflicted to 18 suffered.
One of the most balanced scenario of the pack in the end.

The Germans finally won the campaign with 30 VP (4 victories) to 13 VP (2 Allied victories).
2020-11-08(A) Gordon Jupp vs Derek Cox German winTough for the Brits again, didn't get anywhere near winning the scenario but inflicted 34 CVP on the Germans to only 17 so gained 3 VP for the campaign, which was enough to make it a tactical victory by 2 VP :)

2020-10-13(D) Dave Mareske vs Dan Best German winThis completed my first campaign game. Thanks to Dan Best for enduring the six games which were all a tough fight for the Allies. This scenario was one of the closest, CVP loss for both sides made it come down to the wire, but a couple of wins in CC and a CH with the German INF gun, sealed the victory for the Germans and overall victory for the Germans in the campaign.
