Playtest Scenario card available at Fanatic Ent. Designer's Corner. . . .It is common knowledge that the war in the Balkans was one of unsurpassed violence. The familiarity of the various factions combined with the centuries old smouldering ethnic conflict created a unique and vicious quality in the fighting. Early in May 1942 an operation exemplifies this fact. The goal of the Croatian forces was to engage and destroy Partisan concentrations in the Petrova Mountains. The Croatian forces under the command of the Utinjski Brigade advanced east, southeast and south into the Mountain range in an attempt to encircle the enemy. For several days the Partisans attempted to pierce the cordon as it slowly took form. By the 14th, major elements of the Partisan forces had broken out. During the operation Croatian forces burned villages and committed total war on the civilian population. This was truly war with no quarter.Attacker: Partisan (1st Kordun NOP Detachment)
