Overview:

Twenty minutes after the fighting had died on the Bourcy road, three tanks approached the outpost onf the Houffalize road. The sound of their motors seemed familiar to Staff Sargeant Major I. Jones who was out by himself some 75 yards in front of the roadblock. He thought they were American. When the tanks were some 75 yards away Jones yelled, "Halt!" and fired a quick burst with his BAR over the turret of the lead tank. It stopped 50 yards from him. He heard the occupants conversing in English. The fire from the tank's machine-gun laced Jones' foxhole in the sloping bank on the side of the road.

2013-01-29(D) Stephen Haller vs German American winA very enjoyable, fast-playing scenario against a good opponent. The American .50-cal mowed down the German infantry, who couldn't take a single building at the roadblock. But the Germans won the tank duel, so the last Mark IV standing rolled off the board accompanied by a single halftrack loaded with a squad, which gave the Krauts enough VPs to win. BUT WAIT! The Americans parked their two halftracks on the road adjacent to the exit hex and one of them rolled snake-eyes TWICE to kill that German HT on the last hex. (AFV MGs can fire on other AFVs using the to-kill table if it's the main armament.) Americans got five more VPs than the Germans and won. What a hoot!
