Overview:
On this fateful summer’s day in 1944, Germany’s celebrated tank ace, Michael Wittmann would ride out to do battle one last time. The Canadians and British had launched Operation Totalize and had taken Saint-Aignan-de-Cramesnil and were massing armor to continue the drive south. The Germans determined to strike first. Learning that less experienced panzer leaders had already moved forward, Wittmann jumped into Tiger 007 and lead 6 other tanks to support the attack. The German Tigers charged across the open fields on either side of the N-158 Highway and into Valhalla.Attacker: German (SS) (Schwere SS-Panzer-Abteilung 101)
