Scenario Cards are available at the Desperation Morale Website The Division Azul had just been incorporated into the frontline, replacing step by step the tired German units. The first snows had already fallen, but the cruel winter seems yet far away. They had just celebrated the Hispanism Day (The discovery of America, 12th October) with extra rations. The Russians noticed something strange on the front: They could hear guitars and songs not in German, Shortly, they sent a recon force using a whole battalion that starts to cross the Woljov River. This would be the baptism of fire for the 250th Division (Azul).

2013-09-21(D) Chris Brackney vs Alessandro Demichelis Russian winIt looked to be a slaughter for the attacking Russians at first; so much Open Ground, so little time. Ale got some good Reinforcement drs, and the 'wall of brown' kept coming closer. A fairly successful Human Wave on his part suddenly made it REAL interesting! I kept breaking/Disrupting Conscripts, but even more kept coming. I 'Alamoed' the rear building with the Crewed MMG and 9-1, and a wall of residual fire kept 95% of them at bay; but the 8-1 Russian leader and HS made it through and took me out in a grisly CC in the final Russ. 1/2 turn. I had one GO squad left to attempt re-Control of the bldg., but they were mowed down. Loved it, even though I lost! If you have a spare afternoon give this one a try...
