Overview:
"Heroes or Bastards?" -- At the beginning of May 1945, the suicide of Hitler, the fall of Berlin and the first junctions between Soviet and Western allies did not lead to the end of the fighting or of the Nazi dictatorship in the territories still under its control. In the Czech part of the former Czechoslovakia -- Bohemia-Moravia -- for the Nazis, the non-Communist resistance rose in the hope that the 3rd US Army of Patton, would arrive before the Red Army… On the 5th, the insurrection began in Prague.
