Overview:
The 1st Battalion, 126th Regiment had set up a roadblock, covered by a few troops on the Ormac Road to prevent the Japanese from getting behind their lines. In the afternoon, five enemy tanks came down the road with blazing machine guns and 37mm cannon. All the troops took cover except for PFC Dirk Vlug, who grabbed a rocket launcher and six rounds. Loading single-handedly, he knocked out the first tank. The second tank stopped and the crew came out to attack Vlug. Using his pistol, Vlug killed one of the tank crew, forcing the rest back into their tank.Attacker: Japanese (1st Division)
