Overview:

On D-Day+5, the Allies were scrambling to expand their beachhead on their path to seize the prize of Caen. As part of this effort, the 6th Green Howards were given the task of occupying the village of Cristot, which intelligence reports suggested was virtually undefended. The Green Howards’ C.O., Lt. Col. Robin Hastings, was not so sure. With Shermans from the 7th Dragoon Guards in support of his infantry, he pressed on, albeit with caution. Before long, Hastings’ misgivings would prove well-founded.

2023-03-12(A) David Ramsey vs Martin Barker British winThe British took the village and left no Germans on board, but the strong reinforcements gave a good account of themselves and on the last turn had a 50/50 shot of getting off the points required, after recapturing the building. Lots going on and a good scenario - don't be put off by the turn count, it's a medium scenario that plays quite quickly.
2022-05-30(A) Michael Rodgers vs Bruno L'Archeveque German (SS) winI attacked up the British right, except for one platoon up the British left. Germans had the AT gun in the rear on the British right, as well as some AT mines. Most of the defenders got back to the town. Sniper took out Brit 9-2 and wounded the 8-1 early. The two FBL were far apart and in the rear. Brits found and got one, but second didn't show until turn 5 and most of the Germans were there, so they got the early 15 VP. Reinforcements retook the other won, so another 15 VP. German OBA made smoke to help some vehicles exit for the win.
