Overview:
The Italian armistice created havoc in the regions. In the Balkans, the Germans and the Italian resistance movements rushed to disarm the Italian regular units and confiscate their weapons, while the soldiers of said units sometimes decided to continue the fight, either as whole units or individually as partisans. In Albania, the 100.Jager-Division had to fend off both regular and partisan units, while the Allies, reinforced by the recent events, remained uncoordinated and thus locally vulnerable to German counter-attacks. Beginning in November, the 100.Jager-Division put in place a plan to seize the city of Berat from the "communists" in an operation dubbed "Roter Mann" - Red Man.Attacker: AXIS (German / Militias) (Reinforced elements of the I/Jager-Regiment 54 and Ballisti Militia)
