Overview:
As the 17th Panzer Division advanced across the dry Russian steppe, its lead spearheads outran their supplies. Near Senno they ran into a blocking force from the 1st Moscow Motorized Division. This division was well-equipped and had more and newer tanks than most other Russian tank divisions. A wild armored melee ensued, and anti-tank gun units were rushed up to support the panzers. Then, out of the dust and smoke came an unknown tank. This new, larger AFV was immune to the fire of the German guns and swept past enemy positions, crushing several anti-tank guns under its tracks. It then rumbled into the German rear until it was knocked out by a 105mm gun of the divisional artillery. This new tank would strike fear in the German troops and is known to history as the 'T-34'.Attacker: German (Elements of the 17th Panzer Division)
Defender: Russian (Elements of the 1st Moscow Motorized Division)
