Overview:
At 0730, Generalleutnant Karl von Tiederman's 207th Infantry Division was attacking to clear Wageningen and the Dutch defenses along the Grebbe Line just to the west. Attached to the 207th was the SS Der Fuhrer Regiment which Tiederman designated to lead the attack even though this was to be that regiment's first time in combat. Sturmbannfuhrer Muller's 1st Battalion formed the regimental schwerpunkt which struck the Dutch left where Lieutenant A. de Hasse's section was defending. This Dutch unit's nerve was already shaken from a heavy German artillery bombardment it had received the previous evening. Orchards, farm buildings and underbrush provided good concealment for the defenders, but obstructed the Dutch fields of fire, enabling the SS troops to advance unhindered. De Hasse's section soon fled back to the Kruiponder farm. Captain A. Zwarts tried to hold his 3rd Company together. . .Attacker: German (SS) (Elements of 1. Bataillon, SS-Regiment "Der Fuhrer", 207. Infanterie-Division)
Defender: Dutch (1st Section, 3rd Company, 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment and 3rd Company, 3rd Battalion, 8th Infantry Regiment, both of the 4th Infantry Division)

| 2026-08-21 | (D) Paul Legg | vs | Frazer Greenshields | Dutch win (VASL Log) | Friday Night Fight Frazer unfortunately failed his PMC and conceded during his turn 3 movement. We both agreed that he could easily get 5 of the buildings, but Frazer felt the final two would be a struggle. Personally I feel there was a good chance the SS could prevail by getting some good firebases going to reduce the defenders and overwhelm in the last turn. | ||
| 2026-08-21 | (A) Douglas Leslie | vs | Grant Hewitt | German (SS) win (VASL Log) | FNF game. Grant reckoned that his Dutch passed one morale check in the whole game but I would be surprised if it was as many as that! | ||
| 2025-11-22 | (A) Jobbo Fett | vs | JobboFett | German (SS) win | The Germans had the advantage through lack of LOS and bad IFT rolls by the Dutch. Combined with great IFT rolls for the Germans, the balance of power was quickly swayed to one side. As the defenders broke and became prisoners, the German snowball continued to grow and eventually could not be slowed down. By the last turn, the Dutch had an effective fighting force of 1.5 squads and a leader, none of them were in the same hex and the Full Squad was promptly broken, forcing the walkover win. | ||
