Overview:
The Vandoos were tasked with advancing up the Orsonga-Ortona Road and capture the "CIDER" crossroads. The Vandoo's C Company, under the command of Captain Paul Triquet led his men towards the crossroad, when they came under heavy mortar and machine-gun fire. Unable to move, the Vandoos were raked merciless by the unrelenting fire and soon casualties began to mount.Attacker: Canadian (Royal 22nd Regiment)

Never got that far. Canadians moving into boresighted hexes only battlehardened him....flanking force moves into the wire in OG, survives 2 fire phases of HMG and Hvy Mtr attacks only to battle harden Hero create. Enemy engages my German FS and 8-1 in CC...I keep ?ment to break him in the ensuing Prep Fire....roll a NMC....kinda was just a non-effect game. I felt I was just spectating a Canadian Advance... You have to break a couple units to have any chance...but that just wasn't the case. Map was fun...lots of good terrain to move in. Good to see shellholes again...no MMP maps EVER have shellholes...pretty sad...I guess the allies used Rubber artillery shells after MMP took over. Fun setting up the scenario... I felt I had decent angles. | ||

The German paratroopers slided South to defend and eventually took position in a stone rubbled building. They were able to prevent the Canadians to exit. With only one halfsquad exited, the Canadians lost this first round. | |||
