Overview:
The German marines were unprepared for the stiff Polish resistance they encountered. Despite their losses, they began to regroup. Engineers moved up and began the arduous process of cutting through the wire. Polish Lieutenant Leon Pajak arrived on the scene and quickly assessed the renewed threat. Also arriving was the remainder of outpost Prom's personnel, held back during the previous onslaught. With reinforcements in hand, the next step by the defenders was prompt. And effective. The Poles called in mortar support and halted the German attack in its tracks. Outpost Prom was saved and the Germans pulled back, after losses of about 50 WIA/KIA.Attacker: German (Elements of Naval Marines from the Schleswig-Holstein)
