Overview:

In its second day, the German Wacht am Rhein offensive was already running into delays. The heavily-wooded area east of Rocherath-Krinkelt was the Rollbahn, the planned route of advance for 12th SS-Panzer-Division, and 277th Volks-Grenadier-Division was supposed to quickly open the route. Seeing the slow progress, the I. SS-Panzer-Korps ordered 12th SS-Panzer-Division to help carry the attack and break through to the twin villaghes. Led by Kampfgruppe Muller, the weight of the German attack soon forced the 99th Division's 3/393rd Infantry to pull back, leaving the U.S. 2nd Division's 3/23rd Infantry to hold the line.

My friend played a great fallback defense, and I could never get a big shot off on his men. I eventually started to run out of time while his forces were completely intact minus one tank and a HS. Faced with a mad dash over open ground with multiple fire lanes, squads, resid, and both MTR's, I called it before the massacre began.
