Overview:

At dawn on 7 August, the Americans in St. Barthelemy were aware of German armor, masked by a heavy mist that had descended overnight, maneuvering in front of their positions. They were also aware the Germans had assaulted the village of le Mesnil-Tove four miles behind the American position. The platoons of Able Company in the village lacked bazookas and included many inexperienced men. As elements of Panzer-Division 2 passed around the northern side of St-Barthelemy, "Leibstandarte" Panther tanks rolled into the village itself.

2023-03-17(D) Rob Schmitt vs James Treu German (SS) winKC March Madness 2023 Round 2. I was American Defender with 4 AT guns and 3 Bazooka’s vs 5 Panthers and infantry. Special rule for mist added +1 per hex hinderance to all attacks made all engagements very short range. German was aggressive in his attack throughout using all tactics available include vehicle bypass sleaze freeze and multiple AT Gun overrun attacks. I was steam rolled by the Germans. I was never able to damage any of his tanks with either AT or Bazookas. Poor die rolls throughout. Brutal loss.
