Overview:
Japanese aircraft approached the San Pablo Airstrip on 6 December; bombers circled overhead dropping their payloads while fighters remained above providing cover. The transport aircraft dropped elements of the Katori Shimpei Force, comprised of the 3rd and 4th Raiding Regiments. The paratroopers dropped for the first time carrying their individual weapons, in what would also be the last Japanese parachute drop of the war. The airfield was defended mainly by mixed rear echelon personnel.Attacker: Japanese (Katori Shimpei Force)
