Overview:

The 3 Monmouths, 11th Armored Division stopped at Pavee Hill and were subjected to a tremendous amount of firepower. The 1 Royal Norfolks, 3rd Infantry Division, was ordered forward to reinforce the position. As effective linkup was not made in full force due to German artillery, but the commanders decided to pool together what forces they had as Battlegroup Nor-Mons. They were also reinforced by tanks of the 2 Fife and Forfarshire Yeomanry. SS Division 9 had been fighting for several days, but SS Panzer Division 10 was now in the line and would spearhead an attack. The Germans used nebelwefers to pound the British position as they approached. . . .

2012-10-21(D) Fred Ingram vs Jeff Coleman British winI think this one is really hard on the Germans. They have to take the level 2 hill under perhaps 2 OBA modules going off around it (even though it will probably be unocupied by any British). They do have 2 relatively close buildings to thier setup area that can roll up 20 VP. After that, it is either try and take more buildings or deny the British units on the other hills.

In our playing, the British got very good early results against AFV's and the German radio died after one smoke mission. At turn 6 (when the Germans conceded), the British still had three Shermans and the German was down to one old tiger and one PzKwIVH. The British also had almost 40 points on the hills and the back victory buildings were still occupied.
