Overview:
Major Farran and 50 SAS troopers were parachuted into northern Italy behind German lines. Farran spent several weeks raising and training a guerrilla force composed of an odd assortment of ranks, Russians who had escaped German prison camps, local communist party members and students who had fled forced labor units.
