Overview:
Germany was collapsing and the Allied forces advanced quickly through the country while German troops surrendered en masse. Fanatical elements tried to stop the surrenders and hold up the Americans as long as possible. Neither of these met with very much success and once behind Mûnich 101st Airborne would only be held up by macabre findings such as workcamps.
