Overview:

Despite the known German troop concentrations at the border, the Polish Army was taken by complete tactical surprise. Many Polish units were in the process of moving to their defensive positions or areas of concentration when the attack commenced. Even so, some German units ran into heavy resistance during the initial phase of the campaign. Such was the case when the 2nd Panzer Division ran into considerable trouble with Poland's only fully mechanized unit, Colonel Stanislaw Maczek's 10th Mechanized Cavalry Brigade.

2019-11-08(D) Andrew Luden vs Rick Luden Polish winAbsolutely nuts game that went right to the wire. Polish reinforcements arrived turn 2 and 3 to help things, but the real heroes were the 37AT crews. One Flamed a pair of German tanks, and then managed to kill 2 leaders and 1.5 squads worth of Germans in CC. The other slipped in behind the German lines and delayed a push on the flank objective by a solid 2 turns to get clear. The final result of mutual annihilation in CC in a critical objective hex capped off a match where only two leaders were left alive on the entire table.

2011-05-19(A) Jeff T vs JVan German winPlayed over 4 weeknight sessions. Great game with the Polish AT assets being effective but too much German infantry in the end. I'd say give Polish balance and automatic Polish reinforcments on turns 3 and 4 (random draw for which). Great fun scenario with both sides in it and many momentum turns.
