Overview:

As the Japanese tide of conquest swept over Asia, crack units moved toward the Russian border. A key point was Ban-Tsagen Hill. on crossing the border, the Japanese were challenged by Mongolian border guards. Their resistance was futile against the tanks. Once in Russian territory, however, the Japanese found their flanks undefended.

2023-11-26(A) Jobbo Fett vs JobboFett Japanese winThanks to the ability to Banzai on turn one, and starting so close to the Russian deployment area (and victory hexes), the Japanese easily managed to gain access to the hill's upper level hexes and put the hurt on any Russians they came across. Granted, the advance over mostly open ground didn't go very smoothly, but the Japanese killed more than they lost at the end of every turn.

I have no clue what the horses are for, as any sneaky play I could come up with simply gives away control of the victory hexes. Perhaps a lucky cavalry charge could send the Japanese packing? Either way, the Japanese fought well for the hilltops and the tanks that had gone for overruns were now in perfect positions to prevent the BT-5s from gaining any advantages. The Russians rolled 5 separate boxcars on morale checks, decimating their forces.
