Overview:

Just for fun: About a dog , a brothel and Italians and Germans trying to catch the dog! . . .As the end of the war neared, the 108° Legione Camicie Nere was stationed in the alpine region of Italy, along the French border. Accounts differ, but at some point Il Cane, the mascot of 2° Compagnia, 1° Coorte went missing on the afternoon of Pesce d'aprile. Capomanipolo (Lieutenant) Aggionamento quickly assessed the situation and organized his men into a number of search parties. So the chase began. Unbeknownst to the Black Shirts, a party of Germans had an appointment with the madame of the local bordello in the nearby quartiere a luci rosse (red-light district). The Germans, caught with their pants down by the presence of Italian soldiers in town, mistakenly assumed that they were under attack. A sharp firefight ensued during which Il Cane made good his escape.
