Overview:
On the right flank of the bridgehead, two companies of the 4th Battalion the King's Shropshire Light Infantry, supported by the Comet tanks of A Squadron, 3rd Battalion the Royal Tank Regiment, fought to open the road north out of the Alexander Platz on April 12.
