The Finns put up a valiant defence, but a miss-play with which hex to send the HIP Hero in at the start, and some poor luck in turns 2 and 3 saw the Finnish defense falter and simply collapse. The Russians lost a lot of troops initially, a full stack being No Quartered back to the counter tray, and subsequently losing all their SWs thanks to the bitter cold weather.
The Finns really suffer from their small OOB, only having 4 half-squads (Not 4 squads as the above would suggest). The variable reinforcements is lovely, but the errata says to reduce the victory conditions of "Russians must control 4 buildings" to 3, which is almost an automatic victory based on the location/entry for the Russians vis-a-vis the Finns. Don't use the errata, maybe consider giving the Finns an extra half-squad. Fun nonetheless, and quick.

Played original VC. Made it close was gonna pull a human wave to get the 4th building but foiled by adjacent units. Better options for short scenarios but ASL is still ASL...

Russian win
Original design of this scenario had the Finns strong on the defense. The attacking Russians get three buildings easy but must seize a fourth from the tenacious Finnish defenders.
But errata on the HoB website changes the VCs so that the Reds now only need the 3 original buildings to win. This completely flips the whole concept of the scenario. Now a few Finnish Halfsquads are forced to go on the offense and try to seize a building back from the Russians who have nearly three times the firepower.
The original scenario was highly unbalanced in favor of the Finns. But a ham-handed attempt to balance it through errata unbalanced it even worse in the other direction.
Avoid this one.
