Overview:

"We Surrender" - In an attempt to halt the Italian 10th Army which was retreating south from Benghazi, Combeforce – a motor infantry battalion reinforced with artillery and armored cars – was dispatched ahead of the pursuing British 7th Armored Division. Combeforce cut the coast road north of Agedabia less than an hour before the first Italians arrived on the scene. For two days, they repelled a series of disjointed Italian attacks. Finally, the Italians, having reinforced during the night, made a last desperate attempt to break through. . .

They have to drive the long-length of a board (+ some) just to get within decent range to engage the British. ...and the boards crossed are nearly completely open. As a result, they can take a lot a casualties. The Italians have to get decent results on their artillery and hope that the British 37Ls (see the scenario) and 88s do not get rate and miss a lot. In this one, I as the British took out multiple vehicles during the crossing - then he hit the mines and three more Italian vehicles brewed up (ouch).
2020-03-16(D) Jeff B vs Roy Connelly British win5 hrsAttacking in the desert is tough without dust, and 45 DVP is a lot for the Italians to get. Roy called it a day about halfway through. His vehicles had a difficult time surviving once they were within arm's reach of me, and his infantry had a very rough time handling all my FLs.
