Opening Fire | Lindsey Murillo | Polish | 2021-06-15 | Won | The Poles green troops managed to slow the Germans but weren’t able to blow the bridge. Reinforcements arriving on turn three solidified the line for the win. | 5 |
Objective: Mouen | Walt McWilliams | German (SS) | 2021-02-22 | Won | The German attack began very well and I was confident that it would be an easy victory. Then, a PIAT scored a turret hit on a hull down MkIV and another MkIV fell victim to close combat reaction fire during an overrun. All of a sudden the game was in the balance. If it weren't for some late game expert marksmanship the game would have been lost. This scenario turned out to be much more fun than originally anticipated. Though the Germans outclass their opponents in every category the victory conditions are very tough. | 5 |
An Uncommon Occurrence | Walt McWilliams | German | 2021-01-29 | Won | This scenario featured momentum swings. Poles drew first blood by killing a 6 rad, then a MkII drove into a cellar. Spectacular performance by bounding firing, leader directed MkIII’s swung the momentum toward the Germans. A lowly MkI unexpected scored two kills, putting a nail in the Polish coffin. | 7 |
Monstir Gap | Walt McWilliams | German (SS) | 2020-12-18 | Won | Greek morale held tough in the early stages of the battle, allowing them to slow the German advance. However, the superior firepower, range, and morale of the SS had them trickling through the gap as the British reinforcements arrived. A small SS flanking force had scaled the cliffs on the German right and got into the rear of the Allied line. The British dispatched a platoon (-) to slow this thrust but the entire element was broken by long range MG fire from the right side hill. The collapse of this British blocking force allowed the SS to complete their move into the Allied rear and secure a victory. | 6 |
The Dead of Winter | Walt McWilliams | German | 2020-11-08 | Won | The Germans managed to immobilize a T-34 after the tank platoon inexplicably stopped. Machine gun and rifle fire whittled away the supporting Soviet infantry. No Russian units were able to exit. | 7 |
The Dead of Winter | Alan Saltzman | Russian | 2020-11-05 | Lost | The Germans destroyed two T-34’s in CC so it was up to the infantry to get some guys off the map. Effective fire slowed the Russian infantry advance. I was able to exit only 15 points of the required 20. This was the first time either of us had played the scenario and it was a great time! | 8 |

Craig Renier | 2022-07-14 | The Germans clustered the pillboxes against the pond in the center so there was no approach outside of any CA. The Canadian MTR and captured AT gun failed to get smoke on the first turn, making any approach hazardous. The attack was pressed on one side with the defenders having good luck. However, a few Canadians managed to get through the residual and FL so they could enter CC at favorable odds. Once one pillbox was breached, the remaining pillboxes had little recourse. We made a few mistakes on pillbox rules which may have swayed the result. Overall, well played by both sides. A fun short, albeit somewhat one sided scenario.
Mark Thompson | 2022-07-14 | The Canadians depleted smoke on both the 51 MTR and captured 75L AT Gun in their first shots and initially bungled their close approach to the German's tight-knit bunker system, but eventually pushed through to engage in CC with each of the bunker occupants without having to cross the bunker CAs. The Germans severely bruised the Canadians with an effective fire lane and other residual and, although the Canadians prevailed in all CCs, several were achieved through a mutual misinterpretation of ambush rules in the Canadians favor, so a draw best captures this neat little scrap. A good primer on Pillboxes.
Allen Evenson | 2022-11-12 | I had chances at CC against Pill Boxes early but didn't get the rolls. Should have used smoke more.

Stephane Nolet | 2024-10-20 | The Canadians missed the victory by a turn. The Royal Hamilton Light Infantry eliminated all but one German squad, but was only controlling one Pillbox at the end of turn 4. The Pak 40 performed poorly being broken on turn 2 (B#10 and TH Red numbers and +2 TH DRM for a capured Ordnance) The Canucks were unable to repair the PAK 40 the squad manning it broked and had to rout. Fortunately the 51 mm Mortar layed some SMOKE to cover the attack. The Canadians were lucky with 3 SAN resulting ine three broken squads that were easily defeated in CC thereafter and they also rolled 2 Heat of Battle resulting in a Hero Creation and a Berserk squad that eliminated a 8-0 and a squad in CC. With another movement phase the Canadians would have controlled 4 Pillboxes but instead they only were controlling one Pillbox at game's end resulting in a German Win. |
